Everyone loves Connie for the understated elegant shape, but these vivid new colours make it so striking and fun!
The soft, natural fabric has a beautiful drape and texture, which has been carefully cut into angled panels. This means that unlike most elastic waisted skirts that are square cut and feel bunchy and bulky around the waist and hips, the Connie Skirt has soft gathering and drape over the tummy, then flows out to the hem where there's more volume - just enough for a little romance without being cumbersome and heavy. It's this subtle difference and care in construction that has made it a customer favourite for years now. These subtle angles also really enhance the lines and checks beautifully!
Play it down with a simple tee and sneakers or wear it with a printed top and statement shoes or jewellery to dress it up. It looks amazing with lots of different colours and layers well with legging worn underneath in cooer weather.
60% Linen. 40% Cotton. Lightweight but not sheer. New fabric, not vintage. OEKO-TEX certified organic. Limited edition. Handmade in Sydney’s inner west by a small business.
SIZE & FIT INFO
There is quite a bit of flexibility with the sizing due to the elastic waist and where you like it to sit on the torso. I've now seen this style on lots of lovely varied body shapes and it is running true to size.
First model is average height, size 12, wider waist, wearing M. Second model is size 10 waist, size 12 bottom, taller than average, wearing the S. Third model is size 8 to 10, tall, wearing S.
To check your size, lay flat a favourite skirt and compare your measurements to those below. Note that this waist measurement is when the skirt is flat with the fabric gathered in by the elastic, not fully stretched out. There’s much more space/fabric when it’s stretched, to easily glide over the hips.
