A bias cut skirt is an elegant classic that is having a little resurgence of late. My new take uses the clean lines and simple shape to showcase the unique joy and vibrancy of vintage fabrics!
The silhouette is half way between a pencil and an a-line. Wear it in a casual, modern way, perhaps a nod to the 90’s, with a basic tee and sneakers. You’ll feel so comfortable and colourful! It’s also lends itself to a more dressed up occasion with special shoes and some fun jewellery and looks great in cool wetaher worn with a chunky knit and boots.
The shape is perfectly balanced by a Kite Top but also suits something form fitting or as oversized and loose as you please, make it your own!
The elastic waist has a smooth clean finish and sits high, at the smallest part of the torso. Then it hugs the body, following over own natural curves with a very subtle kick at the hem. The midi length suits various heights, definitely over the knees if you’re tall and won’t swamp you if you’re short.

100% Cotton. Genuine vintage fabric in mint condition. Cold handwash or gentle machine wash using mild phosphate-free detergent, low spin, dry on a coathanger and no need to iron or warm iron if you wish.
SIZING & FIT INFO
I generally describe my brand's overall sizing as “average to generous”. However having now seen this skirt on a variety of women, this style is running "small to average".
If you are sometimes between sizes, then choose the bigger of the two. If you want to wear it snug then choose your regular size. If you prefer a looser, more a-line look then choose the size up.
The shape best suited if your lower body has even proportions. I have noticed that women who are very hourglass, with a high proportional difference between a smaller waist and bigger bottoms/thighs need a size up.
Main model is size 12, wearing size 12 - average height, wider through the waist, smaller through the hips. Second model wears sizes 6 to 8, wearing size 8 - average height, smaller through the waist, wider through the hips.
When laid flat the measurements do not accurately reflect the dimensions of it worn, due to the nature of cutting on the bias, so only waist measurements are provided.
