This much loved style has been given a glow up with this slinky, subtly iridescent, luxurious fabric! As per usual it's easy, throw on and versatile - just that bit more fancy for summer parties or Christmas day!
This design was named after my Grandmother who had a casual elegance & love of quality clothes that is perfectly expressed in this classic and comfortable piece.
It looks great dressed up or down, for work or play, with prints or plains. The soft elastic waist can be worn high with a top tucked in or lower towards the hips for a more casual look. The midi length is flattering on everyone and suits both flats or heels.
Unlike most other elastic waisted skirts, I have created this without the usual bulk or puffiness that can happen over the hips and tummy. The shape angles down so you have a little bit gather at the top but most of the movement and width is toward the hem, making it very flattering.
Of course there's pockets in the side seams too!
Made from Tencel/Linen. Tencel comes from wood pulp and is considered one of the most environmentally friendly fabrics. Linen is made from the flax plant and adds a little texture as seen in the close ups. So, this is a natural fibre with breathability, a smooth, silky touch and elegant drape that feels beautiful on the skin.

Cold hand wash is best for this fabric in terms of look, feel and longevity. But fine to use a to place inside a wash bag on delicates cycle in the machine, using mild phosphate free detergent. Low spin only and do not leave crushed inside the machine. Dry on a coathanger and no need to iron if you don't mind a very subtle soft rumple. Ideally use a steamer or warm steam iron inside out.

PLEASE NOTE: I have added a new XS to the range! After years of seeing this style on countless women, I've found there's great flexibility with sizing, often suiting those up to size 20 but my very petite customers would sometimes struggle wth the waist on the S. So I hope this helps!
There is quite a bit of flexibility with the sizing due to the elastic and although it's intended to sit on the "natural" waist, your own personal preference of where you like it on the torso will affect your choice of size.
Please note the model pics are the same style in different fabric. First model is size 12-14, curvy, taller than average and wears the M but the L also looks great on her. Second model is tall, slim body shape, size 10 and wears the S.
To check your size, lay flat a favourite skirt and compare your measurements to those below. Note that this waist measurement is when the skirt is flat with the fabric gathered in by the elastic, not fully stretched out. There’s much more space/fabric when it’s stretched, to easily glide over the hips.
