These are really lovey and lightweight, a perfect little summer accessory that’s super practical and adds flair to any outfit!
The idea popped into my mind when I needed sun protection on my chest one day after having an allergic reaction and I couldn’t wear my usual sun cream - Folded into a triangle and tied at the back of the neck, they are absolutely perfect to cover the décolletage. Ideal for the beach or while driving, they are so good if you have a fair complexion or sunscreens irritate your skin.
So I dived into my vintage stash hunting for sheer, soft fabrics and did a beautiful little rolled hem. The 65ccm square is an ideal size for versatility and coverage.
Of course they can be tied in a myriad of ways around the neck or in the hair. They look very cute looped on your handbag for a pop of colour and are at the ready if you get caught outdoors without shade. They make a lovely present and can be used for gift wrapping in the style of Japanese Furoshiki too!
