As soon as I saw this incredible linen I just had to have it! The balance and simplicity of the Connie Skirt style lets this warm and gorgeous colour sing. It's like a protest against everyone's tendency to go duller and darker as the weather cools. Wear it with a cropped knit or sloppy joe and a pair of tights and boots on cold days. It looks beautiful against navy, burgundy, charcoal and forest or olive green and of course trusty black like this Kite Top.
This style was named after my Grandmother who had a casual elegance & love of quality clothes that is perfectly expressed in this classic and comfortable piece.
It looks great dressed up or down, for work or play, with prints or plains. The soft elastic waist can be worn high with a top tucked in or lower towards the hips for a more casual look. The midi length suits a range of heights whether you're in flats sandals, sneakers or a heeled boot.
Most other elastic waisted skirts add bunchy bulk over the tummy and hips, but not this one! It has been carefully cut in 4 angled panels with just enough gathering at the waist and most of the volume at the hem which creates a flattering, streamlined a-line form.
Of course you’ll find pockets in the side seams too!

SIZE & FIT INFO
There is quite a bit of flexibility with the sizing due to the elastic waist and where you like it to sit on the torso. Please note the model pics are of the same style, made from the same type of fabric but in a different colour. First model is tall, slim body shape, size 8 and wears the S. Second model is size 12-14, curvy, taller than average and wears the M but the L also looks great on her.
To check your size, lay flat a favourite skirt and compare your measurements to those below. Note that this waist measurement is when the skirt is flat with the fabric gathered in by the elastic, not fully stretched out. There’s much more space/fabric when it’s stretched, to easily glide over the hips.
