This is a truly unique one of a kind heirloom piece. A wall hanging made up of 25 pockets for you to fill in the lead up to Christmas day. I have hand crafted each one from vintage fabric, stunning little embroideries, linen tea towels and novelty prints. Some of the pockets have been hand screenprinted with my illustrated numbers. You'll see some traditional elements but there's also a distinctly Australian feel with some native flora, fauna and other motifs like my hand drawn gum leaves included.
Some nice ideas for filling the pockets could include chocolates, Lego, a matchbox car, make up, crystals, shells, op shopped lucky charms or jewellery, a packet of flower seeds, drawings supplies, a love letter, poem or inspirational quote.. the list is endless!
This idea first came to me when I had kids... and they are now teenagers! I am so pleased to see them finally come to fruition and have absolutely loved creating these with countless hours of love and care involved. Some of the treasured fabrics have been saved in my collection for over a decade and even include some embroidery by my own Nana.
I see these as a keepsake treasure, brought out each year to build excitement to family celebrations and encourage thoughtful gifting. I hope they bring you and your loved ones much joy for many years to come and possibly handed down through the family for generations.
