This is a truly unique one of a kind, celebratory, heirloom piece. A wall hanging made up of 25 pockets for you to fill in the lead up to Christmas day.
Some nice ideas are chocolates, small toys, cosmetics, crystals, shells, op shopped lucky charms or jewellery, a packet of flower seeds, drawings supplies, a love letter, poem, joke or inspirational quote.. the list is endless!
I have hand crafted each one from vintage fabric, stunning little embroideries, linen tea towels and novelty prints. Some of the pockets have been hand screenprinted with my hand illustrated numbers. You'll see some traditional elements but there's also a distinctly Australian feel with some native flora, fauna and other motifs like my hand drawn gum leaves included.
This idea first came to me when I had kids... and they are now teenagers! I am so pleased to see them finally come to fruition and have absolutely loved creating these with countless hours of love and care involved. Some of the treasured fabrics have been saved in my collection for over a decade and even include some embroidery by my own Nana.
